Following a 2016 fire at the Peabody warehouse, we rebuilt the entire 145,000-square-foot property, working with strategic partners along the way. The team worked closely with local city officials and the Peabody Fire Department to safely demolish the former building, plan for a new, safer property, to execute the build.
Among several fire-safety improvements was the installation of an Early Suppression, Fast Response (ESFR) sprinkler system, and a dual-band UHF BDA system to cover fire and police frequencies. This system gives the ability for police or firefighters to talk to their dispatcher from inside the building on their portable radios.
Harrison Development also worked with local wetlands engineers to survey the warehouse’s surrounding area and secure the identified wetland areas for land conservation. We have put land into conservation and also will be graveling some of the trailer parking area for drainage purposes. We will be taking up some of the old parking lot and replanting it with native plants. We will also be adding trees as a buffer to the residential neighbors.
